Orwell Bridge

Weekends are the perfect time to go for a long walk… If you have the time that is. A few weeks ago Brendan and I managed to get out of the house and take a lovely stroll down to the Orwell Bridge, which luckily for us isn’t too far away. As first we had no idea how to get there, only the direction we needed to head, but we managed to find our way.

Along the way we bumped into two Mute Swans and one Black Swan all for a swim on the river together. I know Black Swans are relatively common these days, but I felt quite privileged to see two different species together.

Once we reached the bridge I was shocked to learn that the bridge was only built 35 years ago, as it is such a landmark in Ipswich. On our way home we found a shortcut through a boat yard which was a lovely end to our walk.

I hope you enjoyed my photographs and have a lovely day!
