Lake District – Ambleside

A few weeks ago, Brendan and I went on holiday to the Lake District and we couldn’t have picked a better time to go as there was glorious sunshine all week! After the long drive up to Ambleside, our first stop was the Wateredge Inn. It was the perfect spot to relax as it has a lovely atmosphere and a perfect view of Lake Windermere.

After dinner we decided to take a stroll and stumbled upon a Roman Fort, that was overrun with cows and their calves! It was a unique experience, but good fun.

When the sun started to set we decided to head back to our apartment at the Quaysiders Club and call it a night, as we had planned to climb Scafell Pike (the highest mountain in England) the next day…. You will have to wait until next time to find out how we got on!
